Catch 22 - Permanent Revolution (2006)

If you've never heard of these guys, you should know that they're responsible for one of the biggest cult classics in ska-punk, Keasby Nights. 8 years later, the original lead singer is busy with his new band, Streetlight Manifesto, recording a new version of the Keasby Nights, whereas the remaining members of Catch 22, try to focus on actually writing new music. They came up with this wonderful, diverse and ambitious concept album. Musically, they never sounded better and the refreshing Elvis Costello-like voice of the lead singer, sends this whole expedition to the unknown round of melancholic ska-punk. One of the best albums of 2006.
